AI Linguistic Analysis

AI catches connotations and pronunciation issues across languages before you ship.

"There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things."

— Phil Karlton

Namient helps you choose names that are easier to launch, easier to trust, and easier to keep. Instead of relying on taste alone, we inspect names through a practical research lens: clarity, pronounceability, linguistic risk, registry availability, domain conflicts, and technical fit across the places modern products live.

It’s built for founders, product teams, and developers who treat naming as a real product decision, not just a branding exercise. A good name should not only sound right — it should survive search, setup, rollout, and long-term use.

Namient turns naming from guesswork into inspection. Research your options, spot hidden weaknesses early, and choose with more confidence before the cost of change becomes expensive.

Questions?
Answers.

Everything you need to know before checking your first name.

What does Namient actually check?

Namient checks name availability across domains, package registries (npm, PyPI, Homebrew, and others), GitHub, social platforms, and CLI binaries. Beyond availability, it runs linguistic analysis — pronunciation friction, spelling ambiguity, and cultural surface — to surface risks that registry lookups don't cover.

Is it free?

Availability checks, quick linguistic analysis, and shareable result URLs are free with no sign-up required. There are no blurred previews or fake limitations.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can check names anonymously. Signing in with Google gives you check history and favorites, but it's not required.

Can I check names from my IDE?

Yes. Namient has an MCP server that works with Claude Code, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible tools. Add the endpoint to your MCP config and use check_name or check_names directly from your editor.

What happens to names I check?

Results are cached to speed up repeat checks. We don't store personal data, don't sell search history, and don't register names you check.
